North East

North East of India is among the fastest emerging business destination and the road of the growth and prosperity of India passes through the region. With distinct advantage of the region and the able leadership of the various state governments and availability of abundant natural resources, skilled manpower North East as a region is being noticed by National and International Partners. Most north-eastern states are growing in double digits with enormous potential to expand in areas as diverse as organic food to renewable energy. The region is also a vantage entry point for the South-East Asian markets. The resource-rich north east with its expanses of fertile farmland and a huge talent pool could turn into one of India's most prosperous regions. However the fullest potential of the region and of the state has not been utilized. Keeping the strong potential of the north east in view, ASSOCHAM North East Council chaired by M K Agarwal, Managing Director, Meghalaya Cements Ltd., aims to draw a roadmap including Promotion of Innovation, Exhibitions, Conferences along with organizing panel discussions, round table meeting etc.
