Telangana State Development Council

Telangana the youngest state in Union of India with gross state domestic product (GSDP) estimated at Rs. 14.0 trillion (US$ 169.59 billion) in 2023-24BE. The state’s GSDP increased at a CAGR of 10.23% between 2018-19 and 2023-24BE. The extraordinary overall growth achieved by Telangana has been attained on account of its remarkable performance in the three key sectors that contribute to any economy – Agriculture & Allied Sectors, Industries (including mining and quarrying) and Services sector.

The Council works closely with the State Government & Industry on policy issues, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and expanding business opportunities for the industry through a wide spectrum of specialised services. The Council works extensively with other local chambers and bodies, and its members are actively being involved in various events and conferences organised throughout the year. Various sectoral sub-committees for Agri & Food Processing, Renewable Energy, Start-ups, Real Estate & Infrastructure, IT/ITES & E-Commerce, MSME and Pharmaceuticals have been formed to organize focused activities. ASSOCHAM Telangana State Council also engages from time-to-time with its members to decide the way forward for development of the State Council and enjoys their continued support to carry forward initiatives to enhance efficiency and global competitiveness of industries in the state.
