Eastern Region Development Council

West Bengal is the fourth largest growing state in terms of economic growth rate, with a constant progress towards betterment. It also ranks as the sixth highest contributor to India's GDP. The state is strengthening its economic, social and infrastructural position and is emerging as an investor's paradise, as "Brand Bengal".

Considering the strong potential of the state, ASSOCHAM formed Eastern Region Council. For the year 2020-21 and beyond, ASSOCHAM Eastern Region council would like to work closely with State Government towards revamping the economy by covering all the thrust sectors for overall sustainable growth and development of the state. Main aim of the council would be to build a strong and diverse council for the eastern region which will lead in growth and sustenance of the sectors in the State.
