India has great potential to be a thriving market for Direct Selling and can become an investment destination for Direct Selling Companies. This would, however, require unveiling of proactive industry friendly policies by the Government. The guidelines issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs have been of great help to the industry. However, while the Direct Selling Industry offers ample opportunities for creating entrepreneurs, there are many issues of the industry which are yet to be resolved.

Keeping in view the challenges and emerging growth prospects of Direct Selling Industry and its increasing role in Self Reliant India, ASSOCHAM's National Council on Direct Selling presents views of the Industry to the Central and State Governments. The council focuses on a dialogue between Government and all stakeholders on the ease of doing business which will bring about paradigm changes for the Industry in India.
