Social Inclusion and Affirmative Action

Affirmative action refers to a set of policies and practices within a government or organization favouring groups based on their gender, race, creed or nationality in areas in which they were excluded in the past such as education and employment.

 ASSOCHAM Affirmative Action policies are aimed at increasing opportunities for those groups of stakeholders who have been part of oppressed segment. With an aim of creating increased opportunities by focusing mainly on providing employment, education, and entrepreneurship opportunities, the council also works for the promotion of SC/ ST Entrepreneurship in India.
